Charity begins at home and in our own communities. We believe in giving back to the communities that support us. To say thank you to the communities in which we practice real estate, we are proud sponsors of several charitable organizations, schools and sports teams. We think it’s a great reason to work with a realtor who lives, works and supports your community-its also why we try do as much business as often as we can with local suppliers-it’s a business to business plan that works well. Why use a realtor who lives in Mississauga or Woodbridge and pays Mississauga or Woodbridge school taxes? Have they donated to your community fall fair or new playground? Hey! To us, that kind of support and lending of a hand counts and we try every year to do more than our fair share. The Gatehouse is a place “ where survivors of child abuse can tell their stories, heal their wounds, restore their voices and realize their potential” in the words of Authur Lockhart. We were instrumental in their original funding when this unique home opened its doors in 1998 and are honored to be working with this organization again. Did we get your attention? All realtors are not equal. Most have marketing and advertising strategic plans and materials. These plans and materials cost us money directly from our pockets. We are like one large corporation doing the services that 100 people in a company may do. Let’s think about it. At buyselltoronto we do all our own administration, reception, sales calls, marketing, advertising, accounting, technology input and maintenance, follow up and liaison .etc. All of which costs us considerable time, monies and resources as we do not have a large corporation behind us we are it! And we are happy to do so but the reality is, if you hire a top agent you will end up paying a top agent fees. There are always reasons as to why realtors will discount their fees. Sometimes it’s the only way some agents can secure the business in a highly competitive market because they cannot stand alone on their service, their knowledge or their negotiation skills! It boils down to- you get what you pay for. A reduction in commissions does not amount to much when your selling price is lower by 5-10% because your agent could not afford full market exposure or was too inexperienced to negotiate that final offer. However, there are some circumstances in which our commissions can be negotiable-we look forward to sharing these with you when we meet!
